About Felicia Colwood

I believe all children must be given opportunities to aim high and achieve their full potential in all aspects of life, whatever their circumstances. With the right approach, the barriers between a child and their ability to emotionally, socially and academically thrive will be reduced. The child or young person will be able to grow with the essence of a secure and trusting inner resource and a true sense of self.

“Once we have gained inner mastery of a problem, it will come about naturally that the action we take will succeed” (I Ching, 1971)

Seven years within Special Educational Needs provided the guidance needed to redirect my approach to working with children. Fulfilling training hours in a mainstream school, led to the opportunity of working with families who have experienced domestic violence and abuse. Through providing emotional and practical support, the recognition of an attuned, empathic and intuitive nature developed and held the alliance needed to anchor healing. Personal attributes include commitment, enthusiasm and a natural energy towards life, work and play.

I would like to take this opportunity to give special thanks to all the inspiring children, young people and families that I have had great pleasure in working so closely with over the years, who have taught me so much and who have helped shape the practitioner I am today.
