Play Therapy for Children and Young People
Due to the Non-Directive, Non-Judgemental, Non-Interpretive nature, Play Therapy is particularly effective for most children. Referral issues can be anything that is causing you or your child a concern, or a referral can even be made to strengthen child development.
Examples of some referral issues. Children and Young People;
- Whose behaviour is causing concern
- Who are suffering bereavement, loss or parental separation.
- Who have relationship difficulties
- Who are in danger of being excluded from school.
- Who have recently experienced trauma or abuse
- Who are victims of bullying and for children who use bullying traits
- With Social Communication Difficulties
- With ADHD, Asperger‘s Syndrome and Autism.
- With speech & language or learning difficulties.
- To help bring stability to children with long-term health issues or physical disabilities
- Who self-harm
- Who need are at risk of losing themselves in a negative cycle
