Play Therapy for Children and Young People

Due to the Non-Directive, Non-Judgemental, Non-Interpretive nature, Play Therapy is particularly effective for most children. Referral issues can be anything that is causing you or your child a concern, or  a referral can even be made to strengthen child development. Examples of some referral issues. Children and Young People;
  • Whose behaviour is causing concern
  • Who are suffering bereavement, loss or parental separation.
  • Who have relationship difficulties
  • Who are in danger of being excluded from school.
  • Who have recently experienced trauma or abuse
  • Who are victims of bullying and for children who use bullying traits
  • With Social Communication Difficulties
  • With ADHD, Asperger‘s Syndrome and Autism.
  • With speech & language or learning difficulties.
  • To help bring stability to children with long-term health issues or physical disabilities
  • Who self-harm
  • Who need are at risk of losing themselves in a negative cycle
